Is there any Winter Add on Fees?

A winterisation fee is charged in some countries mainly Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France to cover additional equipment that may be required on the vehicle during the winter season.

What happens if you lose your Keys?

If you lose your keys most rental companies charge between £100 and £150 to cover the cost of replacement keys. And or remote control alarm and locking systems.

What is a Refundable Excess? Or CDW?

Certain cars and vehicles may be supplied with an insurance policy that allows you to claim back any excess you may be charged if you accidentally damage the vehicle during the course of your hire.

Some local suppliers chare an excess locally (When you pickup the car) this may be reclaimed once the vehicle is returned in the condition that you collected it.

It is very important to point out and have documented any defects in the vehicle at the time of hire. Should you have an accident it is important to obtain a local police report and fill out the relevant accident forms.

We will then refund the excess upon receipt of the relevant documentation.

Will my car rental agreement include insurance?

If you are hiring a car in the UK, Europe, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia your car rental agreement will include cover for: CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), also known as LDW (Loss Damage Waiver), Third Party Liability and Theft.

There may be an Excess on the CDW and Theft part of the rental agreement. Occasionally car rental providers will offer a ‘zero excess’ policy. If you wish to reduce your excess to zero you can do so with protect your bubble's car hire insurance or at the car rental counter when you collect the vehicle.

If you are hiring the car in the USA, Canada, the Caribbean and South America, it is generally the case that your car rental will not include insurance. The renter must purchase CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)/LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) and Supplemental Liability Insurance.

Is there any Child and Booster Seat Charges?

All rental companies charge a daily fee for this. Child restraint seats are required by all countries for children under the age of 5 or less than 40 lbs in weight.

Are Additional Drivers Allowed?

Some companies allow one additional driver free of charge but most make a small charge. Each rental company will be able to advise you of this at time of booking.
