What is Gadget insurance?
Gadget Insurance is a cost effective way to insure those everyday gadgets and electronic items that we never leave the house without! Many of us do not realise the value of items carried in our briefcase / handbag. It’s only when something goes wrong and we have to replace these products that we understand the true value, both personally and financially.
What type of gadgets does Protect your bubble UK insure?

We offer insurance on iPhones, smartphones, mobiles, laptops, iPads, iPods/MP3 players, game consoles, handheld games consoles, satellite navigation systems, cameras and camera lenses, camcorders, Bluetooth headsets, in-car computers, headphones and earphones. If you have any other items which you would like to insure please email us at customerservices@protectyourbubble.com.

If you are starting a new gadget policy please remember that your item/items should be less than 12 months old. This also applies, if you are adding a new item to an existing policy, which was bought after 3rd May 2011.

What is covered under the policy?
  • Theft
  • Cracked screens
  • Accidental damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Mechanical breakdown (outside of manufacturer's warranty)
  • Loss cover (optional from an extra £1 a month - not available on TV's, Desktop Computers, or Laptops)
  • Worldwide cover as standard
  • For mobiles - unauthorised calls cover up to £100
Do I receive a discount if I insure multiple items on my policy?

Yes we offer a multi gadget discount.

If you add a second gadget you will get 10% off the total, and 3 or more gadgets will give you 15% off.

Should we not have your phone listed you can input the information manually. Your network operator will be able to provide you with the market value.

It's very important to insure under the correct value. In the event of a replacement we shall issue another handset to the value you insured the phone for.

If I leave my gadget unattended and something happens to it can I still make a claim?

For example if you are in a bar and leave your gadget on a table whilst you go and order drinks from the bar this would be classed as being left unattended.

If you are out and about and have your gadget in your bag, look out for the useful hooks under tables in restaurants. It's important to comfortably store your bag where you can always see it, and where it’s within arm's length reach. If you leave your bag under the table by your feet you may not always be able to see it and it may be out of your reach. We know it can be a hassle but making sure you never leave your valuable gadgets unattended will deter thieves who steal thousands of handbags from bars and cafes every year.
Do I need to report any theft or loss of my phone to my network provider?
You need to report the theft and loss of any mobile or PDA to your airtime provider and blacklist it within 48 hours of discovery. If you do not do this we will be unable to approve your claim.
