Insurance and care for your mobile

Mobile Phone Insurance comes in handy when your mobile suffers from accidental damage, breaks down or is stolen. But whether you've got an iPhoneSamsung or other phone model, there are a few things you can do  to reduce the risk of it getting dropped, stolen or damaged in the first place:

  • Always take your phone with you: Treat your phone with care, never let it out of your sight and avoid lending it to other people. If it's left on a table, it could get stolen. And even if your phone is under your supervision, it could get dropped and damaged – keeping it out of other people's hands could help reduce that risk.
  • Keep your mobile dry: Never walk and talk whilst it's raining – water damage could stop your phone from working properly. Additionally, avoid carrying your mobile phone near open water.
  • Turn off the ringer: If your phone ringer goes off when it shouldn't – like in a meeting – you could risk dropping or damaging it as you frantically try to turn it off.
  • Use a mobile phone case: Use a case to prevent scratches and scuffs. Drops aren't the only risk to your mobile's surface; loose items in a bag could also damage the screen and exterior casing.

All that being said, unexpected accidents and thefts can still happen. We still think a Mobile Phone Insurance policy is one of the best ways you can keep your phone protected. Want even more protection? Loss cover is also available for just £1.50 extra per month (per device).
