Always take your phone with you
Never let your phone out of your sight and avoid lending it to other people even if under your supervision, it could get dropped and damaged. Treat your phone the same as you would your computer or iPod.
Never walk and talk whilst it's raining, water damage could stop your phone from working properly. Avoid eating and drinking near the phone and avoid carrying near open water.
If you have your phone on and you are frantically trying to turn it off you could risk dropping or damaging it!
Use a mobile phone case
Use a case to prevent scratches and scuffs. The material used is more resilient than it may look, but it's still a good idea to protect the surface. Loose items in a bag could also scuff and scratch your mobile.
Use dry tissue or alcohol wipes to clean the phone's exterior surfaces. Do not use baby wipes, or other cleaners that may add moisture to your screen.
Change screen illumination
There are many applications that will eat up your battery life. Screen illumination, GPS and data transfers via UMTS are among the most energy-intensive functions for your mobile. One easy way to conserve power is to set your screen at the lowest level, which can easily be done with most phones.
