What if the worst never happens?

Insurance is one of those things that often appears to be an unnecessary luxury – right up until the second you need to make a claim.

We firmly believe that our product delivers excellent protection in a cost-effective fashion. Deciding to do without it might be risky. 

Excesses

The excess is an amount of money that you will be expected to pay towards the costs of any claims.

It is very common in insurance and you may sometimes see it described as ‘the first part of a claim’.

Our excess is £50 on our basic insurance for iPhone4 policies plus an additional £25 should your claim be related to loss. International claims will incur a £75 excess. See terms and conditions for full details.

Claim conditions

All insurance will outline what the policyholder must do in order to meet the requirements of making a formal claim.

In our case, if your claim is arising as a result of a crime (e.g. theft) we do need you to produce a police crime number showing that you reported the crime to them within 24 hours of it occurring.

You should also ensure that you block the phone with the network provider as soon as is possible.

We also require that reasonable security precautions are taken with your phone and may reserve the right to refuse theft claims arising from situations where it was left unattended in a public place or otherwise not secured under lock and key.

In the case of damage cover, our iPhone 4 insurance and iPhone 4s insurance is aimed at accidental damage. It will not cover damage you may have caused while trying to modify your phone or fit accessories to it.
