A maximum benefit policy lets you claim up to the specified limit (£2,000 for Accident Only cover, £4,000 for Standard and £7,500 for Premier) for vet fees for treatments arising from the same incident over the whole term of the policy.
For example, if your pet suffered a leg injury from a road accident, you could claim for several treatments related to that incident until the total amount you were reimbursed reached the specified limit of your cover level. You could not claim again for treatment arising from the same incident, but could claim for further separate incidents – again, the specified limit would apply.
