Customer Notification (6th May 2011) for gadget insurance products.

Customers who purchased a gadget policy before or on 2nd May 2011 will have received an email today, 6th May 2011, from Gadget Cover. Please see FAQs below for further information.

1. I was sent an email today – what is this?

We are aware that an email was sent to customers, and we have since been in communication with the administrator Supercover. We would like to reassure you that your policy terms and conditions remain the same and Supercover continues to administer your policy. You will receive a communication in due course should there be any changes to you current policy.

2. How did Supercover get my data?

As Supercover is the administrator, they hold your data for the purpose of administering your policy and this purpose alone. If you wish to make a complaint about how your data has been used by Supercover, please visit www.ico.gov.uk.

3. Who is Gadget Cover?

Gadget Cover is a brand of the administrator, Supercover. As such there is no longer an affiliation between Protect your bubble and Supercover, or its brand Gadget Cover.

4. Does this mean I am not a Protect your bubble customer?

You were sold your policy by Protect your bubble, who engaged Supercover to act as an administrator for this policy.

Your policy continues to be administered by Supercover, however should you purchase a future Gadget policy from Protect your bubble, you will notice that the administrator is now Assurant Services Ireland Limited.

5. Do I still receive the 10% discount mentioned in the email?

If you were offered a discount you will be entitled to benefit from it. Please keep your email should you need to produce proof of the offer.

6. What should I do if I have a claim and I purchased my policy before or on 2nd May 2011?

For customers who purchased a gadget policy before or on 2nd May 2011 please continue to contact Supercover on 0845 250 5535 until further notice.

If you have a complaint regarding your claim please contact Supercover.

7. What should I do if I have a claim and I purchased my policy on or after 3rd May 2011?

Any customers who have purchased a gadget policy on or after 3rd May 2011 please call Protect your bubble on 0844 3463 970.
