The Cycle Show - NEC Birmingham 2016

The summer has been and gone and after today the nights will get longer than the days. However it’s not all bad news! This weekend the Cycle Show is once again upon us. For those unaware The Cycle show is the UK’s longest running cycling show and over 300,000 people have visited since its launch in 2002. It’s held at the NEC in Birmingham and this will be the 15th year the Cycle Show has run for and promises to be the biggest & best yet!  

The cycle show gives cycle enthusiasts the chance to look at the latest innovations within the cycling world with some of the top brands in the business on hand to showcase their latest products, offer demo’s & helpful advice! Items will be on sale at great prices and expect to comeback with a lighter wallet!

As always we’ll be there and you can find us at stand L56. We’ll have lots going on during the whole weekend. Once again our Bicycle Café will be offering free cookies for quotes, plus we’ll be giving away other freebies like yummy chocolate, tote bags and seat covers.

What’s on:

Road Bike Test Rides

At the cycle show you’ll be able to test ride pretty much anything! If road is your thing you can test ride some of the best bikes from brands like Trek, Condor & Pinarello on the 750m crit-style bike track. Sessions are 20 minutes and you are advised to book in advance as the slots fill up quickly!

MTB Test Rides –

You can take some of the best Trek MTB’s through the NEC woodland over a 1.2 km loop. Go-Pro will also be on hand to video your ride should you wish to keep the footage. Sessions for this are on a first come first served basis so it’s worth turning up early if you fancy a spin through the woods.

E-MTB Test rides

 For the first time ever you’ll be able to test E-MTB from the likes of Trek & Cube over a purpose build dirt and north shore at the cycle show! Again this is anticipated to be extremely busy and advisable to get down early to avoid disappointment!

The Protect Your Bubble Stage

We are delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring the stage this year! Throughout the weekend some of cycling’s royalty will grace the stage. From GB athletes to experts there will be a talk for everyone and we’ll be delivering something special from our brand ambassador Geraint Thomas which is not to be missed!

Championships & Contests

The UK BMX Flatland Championship returns this year to the NEC. Last year Martin Kuoppa scooped the lion’s share of the £1K price.

On top of the BMX flatland championships the MBE team will grace the show for the very first time with some of the best BMX riders putting on master classes daily over the jump boxes and half pipe.
