Apple’s new flagship phones are coming soon – so we’ve sifted through the digital rumour-mill to bring you all the juiciest tidbits. Enjoy!

When will the iPhone 11 be released?

We predict the iPhone 11 will be available for pre-order on Friday 13th September 2019 (unless, of course, they’re feeling superstitious).

If Apple repeat last year’s rollout, it’ll hit the shelves a week later on Friday 20th September.

How much will the iPhone 11 cost?

We’re not expecting a price-hike, which is refreshing. Apparently the 64GB iPhone 11 will have the same beefy £999 release-day price-tag as the iPhone X and Xs.

How many versions of the iPhone 11 will there be?

We expect Apple to release the standard handset, the larger and more expensive ‘Max’ and the cheaper ‘R’ version in September. Display sizes are likely to range from 5.8 to 6.7 inches (similar to their predecessors).

What will the iPhone 11 look like?

Most people expect the iPhone 11 to look like the X and Xs, although there are whispers it could be the first notch-free Apple handset, which is a rather exciting collection of words.

Judging by early concept-designs, the new 3-camera-array could be housed in a large raised area on the back, which might not be to everyone’s taste. Still, it’s not like Apple to miss a step when it comes to design so it’ll probably look lovely either way.

What features will the iPhone 11 have?

As always, Apple will look to push the boundaries with performance with their new A13 chipset.

Not only will it be the fastest iPhone on the market, it’ll also be the most energy-efficient. The iPhone XR drew plaudits with its long-lasting battery last year and apparently, as a result, Apple focused on improving charging across the entire 2019 range. Big tick.

You can bet your house on the displays getting an overhaul too. This year’s ‘R’ model will probably be upgraded from an LCD to an OLED screen – which means it’ll be even closer to the flagship versions in terms of display quality. They could also be reinforced with ‘Sapphire Glass’; the supremely strong protective material used on Apple Watches.

The 11 and Max will support cross-charging, enabling you to share your precious percentages with a friend, or charge your EarPods wirelessly. Versatile!

Will the iPhone 11 have 5G?

Word on the street is, the iPhone 11 won’t contain 5G tech. A bit of a surprise, but the super-fast networks won’t be widely available for a while yet, so it makes sense for them to wait until demand is high before they venture into new territory.

Will it be worth an upgrade?

It's hard to predict at this stage, but the iPhone 11 could be a real step-up from the iPhone Xs. We’ll be keeping an eye on all the developments over the coming months, so don’t forget to bookmark us and check back regularly for the latest updates.
