Looking for something new to listen to? Look no further! Here’s a list of some of the most entertaining podcasts we’re listening to in 2021.*

Technology

Tech Talker’s Quick and Dirty Tips to Navigate the Digital World

Does exactly what it says on the tin. The episodes are short, but they’re always interesting and informative, and subjects span the entire broad spectrum of the digital world, so it’s definitely worth looking through the entire back-catalogue. Some are in the form of mini-guides, like the episode about starting your own podcast, where others are informative, like the episode about the (surprisingly dark) history of Tetris, but they’re all punchy and entertaining. Highly recommended.

Movies

The Rewatchables

Famous American sports Analyst, Bill Simmons, takes a deep dive into movies he and his crew of film buffs deem worthy of the title ‘rewatchable’. As a movie-lover, hearing people speak so eloquently and passionately about each project is a breath of fresh air, and with all the interesting behind-the-scenes info they share about seminal films like Goodfellas, Bad Boys, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, you’ll find out lots of new things about some of the world’s most memorable box-office hits. Unmissable stuff.

Sport

That Peter Crouch Podcast

Whether you’re into football or not, the Peter Crouch podcast is well worth a listen. In each episode, the hosts Chris Stark and Tom Fordyce (who are very entertaining in their own right) ask ‘Crouchy’ questions about a particular area of the sport, like referees, kit men, or dressing-room culture – and he responds with (sometimes shocking) candour. The reason it works so well is because the ex-England star is completely self-deprecating, genuinely funny, and well aware of the absurdity of the professional bubble of elite sport. One of the best British podcasts going at the moment.

Interviews

The Joe Rogan Podcast

The Joe Rogan podcast is one of the most popular shows in the world, and for good reason. It’s been going for years, and since their recent deal with Spotify, it’s continued to grow and grow. With an incredible back-catalogue of episodes, it features laid-back, down-to-earth interviews with some of the biggest celebrities and personalities in the world. Of course, Joe’s an entertaining and engaging guy himself, which is the main reason it works so well. His no-nonsense, heartfelt approach is incredibly disarming, and you get more of a feel for who the people you see on your screens really are.
