Can I still purchase Travel Insurance from Protect Your Bubble?

No. Protect Your Bubble no longer distributes Travel Insurance policies. However, if you are an existing PYB Travel Insurance policy holder and you need assistance, as long as you have a valid certificate of insurance, your policy is still valid and we’re still here to help you with any issues you may have. The following FAQs are designed to give existing policy holders further information if required.

I have an existing PYB travel insurance policy - can I renew it?

Unfortunately, Protect Your Bubble is no longer renewing travel insurance policies, although any existing policy will be valid until its expiry date.

For annual multi-trip policyholders who are coming up for renewal, we have reached an agreement with our travel insurance partner, Rock Insurance, to offer a discounted rate on their travel insurance product, Insurefor.

You will receive a series of emails as your renewal date approaches, offering you the opportunity to switch to Insurefor with a 10% discount. If you do not receive these emails, simply call 0343 658 0253.

The policies are largely comparable, but some elements of cover may differ slightly between your expiring Protect Your Bubble policy and the Insurefor policy. You might want to check these differences when you speak to Insurefor, to make sure the cover is still suitable for your needs. All policies will be subject to medical screening.

What is an "excess fee"?

Unless you have purchased ‘Premier PLUS’ cover, most sections of the policy carry an "excess fee".

This is the amount you will have to pay – separate from your premium – if you make a claim which is approved. The amount may vary depending on the level of cover you have chosen, and is applicable per person, per section.

How often can I travel on an Annual Multi-trip policy?

An annual multi-trip policy lasts for the complete 12 months from date of purchase, and you can take as many trips/holidays as you wish during that year.

However, any individual trip or holiday must not last longer than 21 days, unless you have paid the appropriate additional premium to extend this to 31, 45 or 62 days per trip. You can do this mid-term by calling 0343 658 0253.
