Excess of £50 applies to all iPhone claims. Loss claims will incur an additional £25 excess fee. All Accidental Damage claims made  in the first 3 months from the policy start date incur an additional £25 excess charge.

How to take care of your mobile phone

Have you got a new Smartphone? Take a look here at our top tips on how to take care of your fancy new gadget and keep it looking good. Our mobile phone insurance covers all types of handsets such as iPhone, BlackBerry and other Smartphone models. 

Always take your phone with you

Never let your phone out of your sight and avoid lending it to other people even if under your supervision, it could get dropped and damaged. Treat your phone the same as you would your computer or iPod.

Keep your mobile dry

Never walk and talk whilst it's raining, water damage could stop your phone from working properly. Avoid carrying near open water.

Turn off the ringer when in a meeting etc.

If you have your phone on and you are frantically trying to turn it off you could risk dropping or damaging it!

Use a mobile phone case

Use a case to prevent scratches and scuffs. The material used is more resilient than it may look, but it's still a good idea to protect the surface. Loose items in a bag could also scuff and scratch your mobile.

Clean your phone regularly

Use dry tissue or alcohol wipes to clean the phone's exterior surfaces. Do not use baby wipes, or other cleaners that may add moisture to your screen.

Change screen illumination

There are many applications that will eat up your battery life. Screen illumination, GPS and data transfers via UMTS are among the most energy-intensive functions for your mobile. One easy way to conserve power is to set your screen at the lowest level, which can easily be done with most phones.
